Heather FlournoyAnnouncing the new Katonah Green and Beyond Meetup Group ! The goal of the group is to have live interaction with all of you 'greenies' and blooming 'greenies' in the area who want to get to know each other, get educated, get motivated and have a social network of like-minded people.

The official description: Connecting Northern Westchester, Fairfield and Putnam in Green and Organic Educational Events, Potlucks and Networking for people interested in DIY natural health, organic lifestyle, and sustainable living.

If you aren't familiar with www.meetup.com visit it now. I guarantee you will find a regional group that you share interests with. I think Meetup.com is one of the best sites on the web and brilliant! My hesitation with doing a lot of internet distribution of information and education is that I fear that people are getting more and more isolated and that computer use can make us more isolated from real interactions with people, while letting us believe that we are constantly interacting, and therefore has the potential to create a generation of people who are disconnected somewhat from reality. But now Meetup.com lets us have a virtual values-based or interest-based connection with people who we then actually MEET.

We'll be planning a lot of events in the coming months, so check the Katonah Green Calendar often!
