Jin Shin Jyutsu® physio-philosophy is an ancient art of harmonizing the life energy in the body. This art brings balance to the body’s energies, allowing the body to function, feel better and heal more quickly.

With the high occurrence of osteoporosis, osteopenia, and other fragile bone conditions, prescriptions for Fosamax and similar drugs are given routinely. There are other alternatives if you are willing to take the time and give this a try.

The kidney energy is the root energy in the body.  Its energy pattern follows very closely to the spine, all the way into the cervical vertebra. Without strong kidney energy, the body cannot retain the calcium that it takes in.  Some calcium can be excreted, no matter how much a person takes supplements. This is because the kidney energy allows for the assimilation of calcium, through its unique anchoring effect.

Performing the kidney flow regularly can help with retaining the body's calcium, which is needed for strong bones.  It also will allow for a supple spine and strengthened reproductive functions. As an added bonus, it is key for a strong immune system!

Here is how the Kidney Flow is performed: (there is no need to massage or rub, just hold a few minutes for each position)

1st/ Hold right baby toe with left hand
With right hand, hold pubic bone

2nd/ Keep the right hand on pubic bone
Move left hand to the coccyx (tailbone)

3rd/ Keep the left hand at coccyx
Move right hand to left ribcage tip

4th/ Keep the left hand at coccyx
Move the right hand to 3 ribs down from the left collarbone, off the breast area

5th/Keep the left hand at coccyx
Move right hand to the left side of neck

(Reverse and repeat on other side)

Another Quickie for Calcium Assimilation : hold under the collarbones.  This can be done with one hand, thumb under one collarbone, fingers under the other.  Or, you can cross hands and hold under the collarbones, or use left hand under left side, and right hand under right side. Comb under these bones all across the under ridge.  This will also help the lymph system, as well as assimilating calcium throughout the body.

Another example of how the collarbones can help:  I personally dissolved a calcium deposit on my cervical spine by holding under my collarbones for a week straight, on and off, whenever I could. My neck felt so free after this.

As an added bonus to holding under the collarbones, it will help with the following: preventing a stroke, panic and anxiety, and ajusting and adapting to any situation, i.e., high altitudes.

Whether you decide to use drugs, or not, to strengthen your bones, let Jin Shin Jyutsu assist you on your journey toward better bone health and density.
