EarthShare: Supporting the Environment
Looking to change the world? Consider EarthShare From researching climate change to cleaning the Hudson river, from assisting Hurricane Sandy recovery to helping the local Audobon Society, contributions to EarthShare go a long way to help our environment. Now it’s even easier to contribute directly, or through a workplace program.
EarthShare is a national non-profit federation with 25 years of experience in connecting people and workplaces with effective ways to support critical environmental causes. According to their website, www.EarthShare.org, they have raised more than $300 million for programs that care for our air, land, water, wildlife and public health — in your community, across the U.S. and around the world.
EarthShare was founded in 1988 and currently supports more than 400 environmental and conservation nonprofits, including 39 national organizations, as well as EarthShare affiliates in 18 states (e.g., EarthShare of New York, EarthShare of New England, EarthShare of Texas). EarthShare member charities are required to meet a number of eligibility criteria, and Charity Navigator gives them its top rating of four stars.
