SunRaven and The Slow Medicine Foundation

Have you checked out SunRaven lately? The beautiful healing center, located in Bedford, NY, is home to a wealth of services including integrative medicine, psycho-spiritual healing, and more. Husband and wife team, Michael Finkelstein, MD, and Robin Queen Finkelstein, have turned the grounds into an oasis of healing for the community.

In addition to their individual consultations, workshops, and men’s and women’s groups, they have recently launched a new nonprofit program called “Slow Medicine.” Dedicated to fostering community health and wellness, both locally and more broadly wherever invited, the Foundation is specifically designed to serve those who otherwise cannot afford the programs at SunRaven.

From their website, we read:

“The Slow Medicine Foundation, housed at SunRaven: The Home of Slow Medicine, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation whose mission is to promote and support health and wellness and to facilitate community-centered experiential and reflective learning for individuals, families, and groups, by offering educational programs, events, and by providing resources designed to build integrative skills and understanding for those looking to holistically care for themselves, others, and the world in which we live.”

On the heels of this launch, Dr. Finkelstein was invited to blog for DoctorOz.com http://blog.doctoroz.com/author/michael-finkelstein-md and Sharecare.com https://www.sharecare.com/user/dr-michael-finkelstein-3.
