A Call For Light This September 11th, 2008
This day marks the 7th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
It is a hard day for many of us, as we all have or know a loved one who was lost that day, whether they were on the planes, worked in the World Trade Center or the Pentagon, or gave their life rescuing others.
Let today not be a day a darkness, of sadness, of grief. Let us remember everyone affected with light and love.
We are calling all to send masses of light. It can be a 5 minute prayer, a 15 minute meditation, or a 24 hour effort of light. It can be a small act of kindness and consideration or a mere smile to a saddened stranger.
We have all been touched, but we who live on must not dwell in anguish, we must give as much love as our hearts can muster, because we all need it this day and everyday.
Be strong, be bright, be love and light. Let this day shine as a beacon of hope for love and peace in the world.
There are two ways of spreading light: To be the candle or the mirror that reflects it. – Edith Wharton
