Avoiding Germs During the School Year

Parents everywhere are focused on how to keep their kids healthy during the school year. There are the obvious COVID-19 concerns, but that’s not the only germ out there that parents need to worry about. Cold and flu season is expected to be a doozy this year. Your family’s best bet is to stay as germ-free and healthy as possible. Here are some tips courtesy of Merlian News.

Safety Precautions

Teach your kids how to stay safe when they’re out and about.

Keeping Clean

Take steps to prevent bringing germs into your home.

  • Use safe, effective cleaning products on a daily basis in high-traffic areas.
  • If you or a family member is high-risk, consider setting up a decontamination area for when people come home from school or work.
  • Make sure to hit sneaky germ locations at least once a week, if not more frequently.
  • Wear comfortable clothing as you clean such as light-compression leggings or a loose-fitting T-shirt.

Avoiding Risks

Don’t gamble your family’s safety on unnecessary trips.

Taking a few simple steps can go a long way toward reducing your family’s risk of getting sick during the 2021-2022 school year. COVID-19, the flu, and the standard batch of fall illnesses don’t have to knock you off your feet this year. By always staying cautious and smart about prevention, you’ll keep your risk low and your family safe.
