The Sirian Starseed Tarot

The Sirian Starseed Tarot by Patricia Cori, Illustrations by Alysa Bartha

Review by Cheryl Shainmark

It’s not very often that you get to say, as a reviewer, that a radically new and wonderful Tarot has become available, but such is the case now. The Sirian Starseed Tarot may be my new favorite, and one of the most energizing decks I’ve ever worked with. Whether you’re a new reader or an experienced Master, you will find yourself captivated by Patricia Cori’s new approach and Alysa Bartha’s beautiful graphics.

Ms. Cori, who has channeled the Sirian High Council and the Starseed Consciousness in previous books, wanted to update the traditional Tarot with its old, outmoded authority figures and suits. So, where one would usually find suits of Pentacles, Cups, Swords, and Wands, Ms. Cori has Crystals, Chalices, Orbs, and Flames. The shift, while still honoring the ancient traditions and energy of the old forms, revitalizes the deck and lends itself well to new interpretations.

I have to say that I was struck immediately by the powerful energy emanating from the cards. Being somewhat new to reading Tarot, I asked a more experienced friend to give me her impressions, and she concurred that there was a marvelous high vibration radiating from the deck. We both agreed that the images have a very activating effect, calling to mind those archetypal and subconscious forms that stimulate real growth and divination. The combination of Alysa Bartha’s magnificant artwork along with some of Patricia Cori’s photographs make for a startlingly beautiful Tarot deck. I’ll say this much: I haven’t wanted to use another deck since getting this one!
