Dr. Issam Nemeh: Physician & Faith Healer

Dr. Nemeh’s Medical Practice

Dr. Issam Nemeh Issam Nemeh is a medical doctor (M.D.) licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio with specialties in Anesthesiology and General Surgery. Issam Nemeh, M.D. has been practicing medicine in Ohio for over 20 years and currently has his own private practice in Rocky River, Ohio. Dr. Nemeh’s primary method of patient treatment and diagnosis is called Meridian Regulatory Acupuncture.

Meridian Regulatory Acupuncture (MRA) is different from traditional Chinese acupuncture. MRA consists of two parts, a diagnostic procedures and a treatment procedure. The diagnosis involves measuring the electrical resistance of the body at different points on the skin, known as meridian points. These measurements are graphed and interpreted by the doctor to develop a treatment plan for the meridian points of the body. This treatment is performed with a small, single needle that is temporary inserted at various meridian points of the body, usually for just a few seconds. This tiny needle is used to deliver a small, painless flow of electricity through the meridian point it is inserted into, lowering the excitation threshold for nerves while increasing blood flow.

Meridian Regulatory Acupuncture is not traditional Chinese acupuncture. Traditional Chinese acupuncture uses many long needles, whereas MRA uses a single, small needle.

This needle is much smaller than the hollows needles commonly used for hydodermic injection and therefore there is little discomfort. Most people correlate the sensation of the small needle to a slight pinch. MRA is safe for both adults and children.

Miracles Every Day: The Story of One Physician's Inspiring Faith and the Healing Power of Prayer by Maura Poston Zagrans“God’s Spirit is everywhere. Miracles Every Day is the story of Dr. Issam Nemeh, a Cleveland-based physician and devout Catholic who has prayed over tens of thousands of people from all faiths and all walks of life in the past two decades. The result? Miracles. Injuries healed, cancers cured, sight and hearing restored. Yet, as Dr. Nemeh will be the first to point out, “the miracles are just to get our attention.” The healings do not originate from him, but from God. It is this humility and dedication to those in need that have won him the respect and trust of laypeople and religious leaders alike.

This inspiring chronicle, beautifully told by author Maura Poston Zagrans, traces the lives of the doctor and his dedicated wife, Kathy, and brings us the uplifting stories of the many people who have been healed through one man’s powerful faith. Miracles Every Day is a compelling reminder of God’s individual and unconditional love for each one of us. Along the way you will meet the dedicated family members, volunteers, and clergy who support the Nemehs in their work. They speak of a ministry of hope, of lives changed and saved through not just the power of prayer, but through the awesome Spirit-driven power of love.”

According to an article by Brendan Keefe at kypost.com:

“God is so perfect, Dr. Nemeh says, “and his love for us is so infinite, God never says, ‘no I’m not going to heal you.'”

He says he is a man of science, and a man of God. “I cannot separate science from spirituality.”

Dr. Nemeh was a Cleveland-area heart surgeon and anesthesiologist when he decided to add prayer to the arsenal of treatments offered to his patients. He still practices medicine, including alternative treatments like acupuncture, but he also uses faith healing in his medical office.

“He believes in the scientific part of it also,” says patient Lynn Becker of West Chester, “and he’ll be the first one to tell you, ‘don’t stop taking your medicine, go back and consult your doctor, that type of thing.'”

Becker first went to Dr. Nemeh for a lifetime affliction that affected the way she walked. She says Dr. Nemeh eliminated her “duck walk” and later saved her life after she was diagnosed with uterine cancer.

Becker says, “when they went in to do the surgery, the other doctor told me, ‘they must have gotten it all out with the DNC because there was no cancer in there.'”

Her husband, Jay Becker, was raised in the Jewish faith, but turned to Christianity after he saw what he calls miracles performed by Dr. Nemeh.

“You hear about things like this,” Jay Becker says, “but until you actually visually see them, it’s so difficult to absorb and process what God can do. But when you actually see it, you become a true believer.”

Dr. Nemeh says being a Christian is not a prerequisite to seeking a faith healing from him.

But they are the most beautiful people inside, and God touched them, very powerfully.”

He adds, “it’s the faith of the people that actually allows the healing to happen.”

Even though he shuns the spotlight and has turned down most requests for interviews, Dr. Nemeh has become somewhat of a celebrity in the Cleveland area. After a series of reports by the Scripps TV station WEWS Channel 5 a few years ago, thousands began flocking to Dr. Nemeh’s healing masses in and around Cleveland.” (Full article)
