Women & Power – What’s Possible

Women & Power – What’s Possible A Weekend at the Omega Institute: September 21 – 23, 2012

Around the globe, every day, in all sectors of society, women are breaking leadership molds, boldly demonstrating that the way it’s always been is not the way it has to be. They are changing the status quo of power, opening new paths and possibilities, not only for women, but for everybody.

At this year’s Women & Power conference, we bring together creative and courageous women to inspire you to plot your own breakthrough path–one of change, growth, and innovation–at home, at work, and in the world.

The conference is an exploration and celebration of what is possible when women trust their inventiveness to solve some of humanity’s most pressing problems. In keynotes, panels, conversations, and breakout workshops, we hear from women who are using their power and passion to make real change. Prepare to be inspired to make a difference in your own corner of the world.

Scholarships are available; please apply by August 1, 2012. This conference begins Friday at 7:30 p.m. and ends Sunday at noon. Conference attendees are invited to the Saturday evening Omega Benefit Celebration to celebrate the launch of the Omega Women’s Leadership Center.

Learning Remote Viewing & Intentional Healing

Learning Remote Viewing & Intentional Healing, With Russell Targ and Stephan Schwartz, at the Omega Institute August 26 – August 31, 2012 Remote viewing, the ability to experience and describe distant events unavailable to ordinary perception, began as a laboratory protocol created by a small group of scientists at the CIA-sponsored Stanford Research Institute in the 1970s and 1980s. It has since become part of pop culture, including its use in Dan Brown’s best-seller The Lost Symbol.

Similarly, intentional healing (i.e., prayer) has now extended beyond the religious to the scientific, with thousands of papers written about its effectiveness, and the idea of nonlocality, in which our awareness transcends ordinary understanding of space and time, has become the hottest research topic in modern physics.

The Yoga House in Piermont, NY

| by theyogahousepiermont.com

“We emphasize that asana, the physical Yoga practice, is only one of the 8 limbs of Yoga as outlined by Master Patanjali in the great Yoga Sutras. These physical poses only actually “work” if the first two limbs, the Yamas and Niyamas (ethical practices), are followed. This means that we must live our practice if we want to experience its full benefits. We must take our Yoga off the mat and into the world. It’s something we must infuse into every activity 24 hours a day. So, all our classes go beyond the physical…”
