The Sacred Core of Existence – Silent Retreat With Adyashanti
The Sacred Core of Existence – A 7-Night Retreat With Adyashanti
At the Omega Institute, September 07, 2012 — September 14, 2012
When we go on retreat, we are not retreating from life; we are retreating from our almost constant avoidance of life. If our spiritual life is to be something authentic, we must find a way into the very heart of existence. We must retreat from our reflex to distract ourselves from the discontent that lives at the very heart of our deceptively manicured lives and personalities, and instead pierce straight through the veiled gauntlet of our long-held deceptions and behold once again the sacred core of existence. Once the sacred is revealed within us, it can begin to express itself in space and time, which is the salvation of all.
As the most powerful form of Adyashanti’s teaching, silent retreat offers time to step back from the course of daily life and enter the Unknown in an environment that provides structure and support. The weeklong retreat will include talks by Adyashanti, an opportunity to ask questions, and periods of silent meditation.
This course is being held in silence, including meals. All participants must reside on the Omega campus during the retreat, must arrive on time, and must stay through the end of retreat (except for emergencies). This retreat requires parents to come without their children. The retreat begins Friday at 7:00 p.m. and ends Friday at 12:30 p.m. There are no refunds once the retreat has started.
Silence is the container of retreat to which all participants dedicate themselves, for it is in inner silence that deep realization spontaneously blooms. –Adyashanti For more information, or to register, go to eOmega.org
